How we price your flooring job
Every home is different, so we quote each job after we look at your rooms and talk through what you need. The estimate is free.
What changes the price
These are the things that move a flooring quote up or down, in plain words.
- The floor you choose. Hardwood, luxury vinyl plank and carpet each cost different amounts to buy and to install.
- How much floor. The number of rooms and the total area you want covered.
- What is under it. The surface under a new floor matters as much as the floor on top, so we check it. One customer's job needed the floor leveled and sealed along the walls, which changed the scope.
- Stairs and finishing details. Hardwood stairs, stair carpet and baseboards add work, and we price them with the rest of the job.
- Refinishing instead of replacing. If your hardwood can be refinished, the job is sanding, staining and finishing instead of a new floor.
